Tomorrow I'll be doing two things that will forever change my life. I will compete in my first Crossfit competition in the morning and I'll take the GRE in the afternoon. The competition is at my local gym and is relatively small. I'll be competing against 20 other girls most from my gym. Five of these girls are regulars competitors, needless to say, they are going to kill me. The other 15 are very close to my skill level. It will be an awesome competition, but I'm so nervous.
I hope to continue competing in Crossfit competitions and this is a stepping stone to my ultimate goal., Fall Brawl 2012
The workout tomorrow:
Individual Event #1: 7 minute AMRAP
10 deadlifts 135 lbs, 10 dumbbell push press 25 lbs(each hand), 10 over the bar burpees
----------------------------------- Long Break -------------------------------------------------------------------
Individual Event #2: 3 minutes to reach your max ground to overhead
Points will be the max weight that you can clean and jerk, snatch, power clean and press, or
thruster, etc......however you can take the weight from the ground to locked out over your head.
Rest 3 minutes.........then......
Individual Event #3: 3 minutes for max pullups
1 pullup/chin up = 1 point
*You can kip, butterfly, deadhand, etc. You can come off of the bar as many times
as you want. * There will be no scaling for this event. You will just not get any additional points. Your score will be whatever weight that you put up for the ground to overhead.
This blog is about my Weight Lose Journey starting in December 2011. I originally joined Weight Watchers in April 2006. I stayed on plan for four months and lost 25 lbs. My lowest weight was 141 at that time. Jump to December 2011 I gained all the weight back. I was back to 165 and I hated it. Back to Weight Watchers. I also found a new passion Crossfit. I have been going to Crossfit since May 2011. This maybe the key to becoming the athlete I always wanted to be.

Hello Bloggers, It's me Marlaina
So I decided to create a blog for two reasons.
One reason was because my Weight Lose Journey has been totally scattered between my journal, gym schedule and weight watcher website. I want one place where I can look and see what worked, what didn't and what I thought in between.
The second reason I'm creating this blog is to finalize my goals. I have a habit of keeping my goals a secret. If know one knows what my goals are then no one would know if I failed at them. Accountability is key.
